Free Time Activities

Activities in the learning stations provide opportunities for students to improve their personal needs and capabilities and acquire crucial concepts and skills appropriate for their age groups. The learning station activities conducted in small groups and made up of activities and experiences are formed in accordance with the students’ needs. (i.e. Fine Motor Skills Station (play dough, free drawing, lego, blocks.), Dramatic Representations (ie. Playing house), Educational Games (i.e. domino, puzzle.)

Turkish Language Activities

Turkish Language activities are those planned to enable children to speak Turkish correctly and well and enhance their communication skills. Tongue twisters, finger games, poems, riddles, chat, reading pictorial books, narrating stories, imitations, pantomime, dramatization, completing stories are some examples of Turkish Language activities.

Science Activities

Science Activities include the activities in which students learn while having fun, get to know their neighborhood, make analysis and discover and they cover the topics such as “Experiments, Trips-Observation-Kitchen Activities”. Basics of scientific studies are laid out in the Science Laboratory, designed specifically for kids.

Mathematics Activities

These include activities classification, ordering, matching, pattern, addition and subtraction with objects through games and having fun.

  • Mind Games: The students improve their thinking skills in the Mind Games lessons and gain productivity, visual perception and awareness. The students learn simple geometric and mathematical concepts while trying to solve a tougher question at every other step through mind games in the Mind Games Classroom, in which there are special materials designed for this age group and improve their social and communicative skills thanks to the games they play in groups.

Preparation for Literacy

These include activities with an aim of facilitating students’ transition to primary school. Visual and auditory perception, memory, basic concept activities, holding a pencil and manual skills, literacy awareness and motivation development are among the activities directed at preparation for literacy.

Art Activities

These are the activities enabling students to solve problems using their creativity and imagination and provide an opportunity for creative and solution-based thinking. The children design what they imagine by using various materials, reveal their creativity, produce original things and improve their fine muscle skills.

Games

Games are activities in which students participate actively, express their thoughts and emotions and find opportunities for researches and observation to satisfy their wonder. Games are for children. Opportunities are provided to students to play several games (unstructured games, semi-structured games, garden games, table games, etc.) to serve a number of learning outcomes in various types within the scope of daily educational program to satisfy students’ need to play games.
